November 2023 In Hindsight
November was a bit of a turbulent month. It was my birthday month and I love stretching out the celebrations. I did have some things to look forward to that I had pre-planned, staying on Cockatoo Island, and lunches and dinners with family and friends. Yet I was still tired, bored, and frustrated with everything. I had enough of living amongst building materials so I decided to move out of my bfs home. My sister has a granny flat out the back of her property so I moved in there which was very refreshing. Living in a completed near new home is so nice and was the change I needed.

Read -
* Time of My Life by Myf Warhurst - okay, nothing amazing. You could probably skip it
* Dear Parents by Gabbie Stroud - was funny for the first two chapters, then became all too real and relatable as a teacher. Tried to rush through to the end but its a chunky book.
* She Made Herself A Home by Rachel Van Kluyve - always searching for ideas on design and organizing
Splurged on -
* The Academy Course by Lindsey Bowden - watched the free masterclass series and so good. Ready to make some money on the side with selling more teaching resources
Watching -
* 2040 - borrowed it from the library. Just because.
* Clarkson’s Farm - such a funny show. Glad we stumbled over this one
Went to -
* Cockatoo Island - I booked this stay in back in February, and it was well worth the wait. We caught the river cat from Parramatta Wharf and we had such a good time. I booked one of only two powdered tents and we got a snack pack and a double bed. Luxury. It was so windy which I loved. Only negative was the kids chatting late at night and then early morning right outside our tent. Next morning we went into Darling Harbour for breakfast before catching the river cat back home
* Eminem Remastered at Oxford Art Factory - such a good night reliving my twenties
* Lady Banks Rooftop for birthday dinner with my bff - one hour wait on dinner which wasn’t impressive, plus it rained that night so the idea of catching the sunset on the balcony with a few drinks never happened
* Garage Sale Trail with my mum. I bought two new shirts, a jumper, pants, two skirts, a winter jacket, and two Glasshouse reed diffuses - caramel ones that smell divine
* Rouse Hill Park one afternoon to take Reg for a walk, he loved it
* the new Rosebank Cottage at Riverstone for birthday lunch with my sister - they have converted an old home to a cafe and it is just recently opened. Food is very good!
* dentist - had my six month check up and was reminded I should be flossing everyday
* visited the Refalos - friends who I taught and tutored their girls back in the day. Still good friends today
* Easy Lane at Windsor RSL for dinner with a gf - super $$ so probably wont be rushing back anytime soon
Booked -
* flights to WA over new years, and flights to Philippines with my bff
* facial and my annual haircut
Cooked -
* gf chocolate cupcakes with caramel icing, chocolate mouse cake
* Spinach and Fetta Filo Triangles, Chicken Wraps, Red Chicken Curry, Smoke Salmon Noodle Pancake, Teriyaki Beef StirFry, Singapore Noodles
What's new -
* Home improvements - my bf hired a sander and prepped the floor for the timber to go on top. Guy came and started the flooring. I moved out. Took a look at furniture shops for dining table and chairs
* Updates on my blog - nothing much
* birthday means freebies - free coffee at GJ, hot chips from Maccas and $20 off sauna at City Cave
* Hyundai has a recall for something on my Veloster. I dropped mine off for the day but thankfully no issues. All was fine
Looking for -
* floor mop
Sold -
* nothing
Started -
* planning a family dinner for my brothers 40th birthday
Attempting to -
* be happy
