Places To Check Out In Sydney CBD

Sydney is a place that never fails to impress, even on a dull dreary day you are sure to enjoy the sights and experiences. It is actually quite a large city. There is a beautiful harbour, great museums, parks, and gardens.

A guide to places you must check out next time you are in Sydney includes;

  • consider doing the Harbour Bridge Climb for the incredible views

  • or walk across the Harbour Bridge. You can climb the stairs of the Pylon to the lookout

  • check out a show at the Opera House

  • take a walk through the Royal Botanic Gardens and see the inBLOOM exhibit

  • shop at the QVB

  • visit the Art Gallery of New South Wales

  • peek inside St Mary’s Cathedral

  • see the history at The Rocks which feature beautiful old buildings, stylish bars, and there is always The Rocks weekend markets, 10 - 5 pm on a Saturday and Sunday  

  • walk up to the Observatory Hill for awesome views of the bridge

  • walk amongst the trees at Hyde Park

  • pack a picnic to eat by the water at Barangaroo

  • if learning is your thing try the Museum of Sydney, Australian National Maritime Museum, ANZAC War Memorial, Australian Museum, State Library of New South Wales, Powerhouse Museum, Hyde Park Barracks, Justice & Police Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art

  • see the animals at Wild Life Sydney Zoo or Sea Life Sydney Aquarium

  • walk the Chinese Gardens and get some lunch in China Town

  • take a jetboat. You have a choice of Harbour Jet, Oz Jet Boating, Sydney Jet and the Thunder Jet

  • take the ferry from Circular Quay to Taronga Zoo Sydney

  • catch the ferry to Cockatoo Island and stay overnight in a glamping tent

  • take the ferry or train over to Milsons Point and check out the rides at Luna Park. Even if you are not a fan of rides you can still take a walk through the park

  • visit Sydney Tower Eye for dinner and you may as well do the Skywalk while you are up there

  • take a gamble at The Star Sydney or soon to be opened Crown Towers, Barangaroo

  • there is a Hop-On Hop-Off Open Top Bus operated by Big Bus. There are 33 stops and you can choose between two 2 tours and over one or two days.
