How To Relax On Holidays

When you go on holiday, you want to enjoy yourself. The best way to do this is to to leave all your stress and worry at home and just fully enjoy yourself.

So, how can you do this best?

  • Do not take work with you - wrap it up before you go

  • Leave your worries at home - don’t worry about the plants, the pets, the garden, mail, or the kids. Organise this all before you leave so you don’t have to stress while away. You are not going to fully enjoy yourself if you are constantly thinking of home

  • Do not jam-pack your itinerary - make a list, but in reality, expect to only see or do 10% of it

  • Consider doing a social media detox or record your highlights and put something together once you are home

  • Pack a good quality book or two to get lost in

  • Look up things to do and entertain yourself

  • Book a massage or go to happy hour

  • Plan some quiet time or white space to do whatever makes you happy - beach walk, bath, visit the pool

  • Take pen and paper to journal; not your computer, no ipad…
