What inspires you in your everyday life?

I’m inspired by art in all forms, whether it’s a painting, a story, or a song. It’s incredible how a stranger’s vision can become so personal and relatable for so many around the world. We are surrounded by art every single day and the level of creativity inspires me to challenge myself daily.

Tell us your favorite; stress release practice, the thing you are most grateful for, and favorite book.

Whenever I feel stressed, I like to ground myself. Grounding is a powerful yet simple technique that can be done anywhere. I always feel reconnected to my body and the world around me within a matter of minutes. I am grateful for the simple things in life, such as good health and positive relationships. And my favorite book is Everyday Mantras by Aysel Gunar. It’s a beautifully illustrated book filled with seasonally themed affirmations.

What has been a life-defining moment for you?

Creating Her Digital Coffee was a life-defining moment. Turning my lifelong vision into a reality has been such a an exciting and rewarding journey. It has encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and presented me with opportunities that I never thought were possible.

What is the most important thing you have learnt about yourself in your life’s journey?

If you don’t take the risks, you can’t reap the rewards. I’ve learned just how rewarding life can be when you step out of your comfort zone and challenge yourself regularly. Many of us don’t go after what we desire because the fear of rejection keeps us stuck. One of my favorite quotes is from Nora Roberts and she states, “If you don’t ask, the answer is always no.”

Who are you currently learning the most from?

There isn’t a specific person, but I’m learning from the world around me, whether it’s through family, friends, or even strangers. I find myself absorbing as much information as I can from all channels, both in real life and online.

What is your best life tip for others?

Cultivate a strong relationship with yourself because your relationship with yourself defines your relationship with others. As Rupi Kaur said, “How you love yourself is how you teach others to love you.”

How do you deal with negative energy?

I stay away or remove myself from people or situations that harbor negative energy. I don’t pay it any attention, nor do I engage with it.

What is one thing you like to do every day that cultivates peace and happiness?

I practice gratitude first thing in the morning and again before bed. It’s such a simple gesture, but it has truly made a positive impact in my daily life. My gratitude list continues to grow each day and it’s brought so much inner peace and joy.

How can we make a difference in the world?

I believe the best way we can make a difference in the world is by showing up as our true selves. I’ve been very inspired by those who have stepped out of their comfort zone to live the life that they desire, and think it sets a great example to leave the fear behind. Everyone deserves to wake up each day without feeling the need to put on a mask for the world. When you let your light shine through, not only are you happier, but you’re inspiring those around you as well.

Outline a perfect morning routine for us.

I enjoy a slow morning routine that dedicates at least 30 minutes without distractions. I’d recommend listening to soothing jazz, opening the windows to let in the fresh air, taking your time with your self-care routine, and either meditate, read, or recite positive affirmations.

Thank you so much Winnie for sharing your life insights. Let your light shine! is a great takeaway for the readers. I have learnt that too, there is nothing better to aligning and living your true self.
