You can call me Bee [ pen name ] and I'm the writer behind Mind Beauty Simplicity. I am an intentional living lifestyle blogger to resides in the United States. What gives your life meaning and purpose?

How fulfilling my life has become is what drives the meaning and purpose of my life. I have a strong connection to my family, friends and my fiancé. Currently - I'm most excited for the next chapters of my life that involve becoming a wife and a mother soon after that. Along with this, blogging and becoming a writer has given me much purpose in this life. What first became a hobby during a pandemic, is now a full-blown passion project I'm super proud of. I have so many accomplishments and moments that make my life have meaning - from graduating with a degree in psychology in 2015, immersing myself in caring for children and their development to now being a writer who shares her perspectives on intentional living that I hope inspires others.

Tell us your favourites - stress release practice, the thing you are most grateful for, and your favourite book

Whenever I want to escape the world for a little while, I turn towards reading or watching tv series. I've been watching Downton Abbey as of late. And my favourite book so far has to be Verity by Colleen Hoover. I love psychological thrillers the most. I am most grateful for my family, fiancé and true friendships. Those are the priceless additions to my life I hold most dear.

What has been a life-defining moment for you?

Most recently - the loss of my dad was life-defining in a sense because it showed me how precious life is and how we are not guaranteed tomorrow. This is why I try to live more in the moment and with the most intention. There is no room to hold grudges, get lost in drama or waste your energy on people who aren't deserving of your time. This tragedy has caused me to be more real with who I truly wish to be.

When were you last still?

This question is really putting things into perspective and is teaching me to slow down more often because I'm always so on the go lately. With wedding planning, working, blogging and trying to maintain a social life in the mix - it's really hard to find time to just be still. But when I do manage to find the time, I love listening to ASMR videos to meditate on before I fall asleep.

Who are you currently learning the most from?

My mom is someone who has always been one to drop wisdom. Sometimes I don't listen but lately - she's really taught me to put certain situations into perspective and to change my mindsets on things. I'm grateful for her.

What is your best life tip for others?

Stay true to yourself. People will always throw judgements, opinions or shade whenever they get the chance. It's up to you to learn how to blow those comments off and live for yourself. If you are truly happy, you've already won in this life.

When are you at your happiest?

When I don't have much on my to-do list and have a day to just be or have fun. I'm most happiest around my parents [ my mom now ], my brother & my fiancé. But I also find joy in alone time as well. I think if you learn to love being with yourself, you will never be lonely.

What is getting priority in your life right now?

Wedding planning 100%! But we only have five more months to go and I can't wait until May! All the preparation will be worth it when I get to marry my best friend finally!

How can we make a difference in the world?

Be kind. It's something so easy - yet the world seems to struggle with it lately. I think the pandemic has made us all rightfully on edge. But I think it's important to find gratitude to keep us grounded. And maybe with a little more kindness, we can endure the rest of this unprecedented era.

Outline a perfect morning routine for us

The perfect morning routine starts off with sleeping in slightly [9 am or so ]. I love my beauty sleep! I'll probably slowly get up, brush my teeth and all that jazz before venturing downstairs for some chai tea or a cold glass of water. Most likely, my fiancé would have been up for a while as he loves to work out in the early morning and gets started on work calls. But I usually venture down to his office to have a little chat or quick kiss before I get started with my day. Since the pandemic, I have mostly spent hours in front of my laptop: answering emails, taking calls and of course, writing for the blog a bit. Since it's currently winter - I've been loving the occasional winter wonderland mornings and watching the snowfall from the window.

Thank you so much Bee for your thoughtful answers. Our worlds are never the same after we lose someone close to us. It is comforting that you have been able to take away a new perspective from the loss of your dad. Wishing you all the best for your upcoming wedding.
